What this site collects, why, and what happens to it.

What I collect

The only way this site collects information is the inquiry form on the home page. If you send it, I receive what you type: your name, organization, email address, what you are trying to achieve, and a LinkedIn or website link if you add one.

How I use it

I use it to read your inquiry and reply to you. I do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list without asking.

Who sees it

Your message goes to me, Jessica Hicklin. When you send the inquiry form, it is passed through a form service called Formsubmit, which emails it to my inbox at contact@jessicahicklin.com. What is sent is the five things you fill in (your name, organization, email address, optional website, and what you are trying to achieve) together with the message itself. Formsubmit handles it in transit, and its own privacy policy applies to that handling. Nothing you send through the form is added to a mailing list. I do not share inquiries with anyone else unless you ask me to or the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set cookies or run advertising. It uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused service that counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across other sites. It records the pages viewed, the site you came from, your country, and your browser and device type, plus which buttons and links are used. It does not record your name, email address, or anything you type into the inquiry form. The fonts and images are served from the site itself. If that changes, I will update this page first.

How long I keep it

I keep inquiries as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of the conversation. You can ask me to delete yours at any time.

Links to other sites

The In the news page links to other publications and platforms. They have their own privacy practices, which I do not control.
